Langtang Valley Trek

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative. After completing immigration and baggage formalities, you will be transferred to your hotel, which is approximately a 30-minute drive from the airport. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax at the hotel, freshen up, and rest after your journey. In the evening, you may choose to explore the nearby streets, enjoy local cuisine, or prepare for the trek briefing. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Kathmandu.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will begin your scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, the starting point of the Langtang Trek. The journey takes approximately 7–8 hours, covering about 120 km along winding mountain roads. Along the way, you will pass through beautiful landscapes, rivers, terraced fields, and traditional villages, offering glimpses of local life. The road also provides stunning views of the surrounding hills and forests. Upon arrival in Syabrubesi, you will check into your lodge or guesthouse, rest, and enjoy a hearty dinner while preparing for the trek ahead. Overnight stay will be in Syabrubesi at a local lodge.

After breakfast, your Langtang adventure begins with a trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel. The trail follows the Bhote Koshi River, passing through dense forests of oak, pine, and rhododendron, and crosses charming suspension bridges along the way. You will pass through small villages where you can observe the local Tamang culture and lifestyle. The gradual ascent allows you to acclimatize while enjoying views of distant hills and mountains. After 6–7 hours of trekking, you will arrive at Lama Hotel, a cozy lodge surrounded by beautiful scenery. Here, you can relax, enjoy a warm meal, and rest for the night in preparation for the next day’s journey.

After breakfast at Lama Hotel, you will continue your trek deeper into the Langtang Valley, heading towards Mundu. The trail gradually ascends through lush forests of rhododendron, fir, and pine, offering glimpses of the Langtang River below. Along the way, you will pass traditional Tamang villages, prayer flags fluttering in the wind, and small mani walls that showcase the local Buddhist culture. The climb becomes steeper as you approach Mundu, providing stunning panoramic views of Langtang Lirung and other snow-capped peaks. Upon reaching Mundu, you will settle into your lodge, enjoy a warm meal, and rest, taking in the serene surroundings and high-altitude atmosphere.

After breakfast at Mundu, you will continue your trek to Kyangjin Gompa, a picturesque village nestled in the heart of the Langtang region. The trail gradually ascends through alpine meadows, scattered boulders, and small streams, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks, including Langtang Lirung. Kyangjin Gompa is famous for its ancient monastery and panoramic mountain scenery, making it a spiritual and scenic highlight of the trek. Upon arrival, you can explore the village, visit the monastery, or take a short hike to nearby viewpoints for stunning vistas. Overnight stay will be in a local lodge in Kyangjin Gompa, preparing you for the high-altitude adventures ahead.

After an early breakfast, you will begin a challenging yet rewarding day trek from Kyangjin Gompa to Tsergo Ri, one of the best vantage points in the Langtang region. The trail climbs steeply through rocky terrain, moraine fields, and sparse alpine vegetation, offering spectacular panoramic views of Langtang Lirung, Langshisha Ri, and other surrounding snow-capped peaks. From the summit of Tsergo Ri (approximately 5,000 meters), you can enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views of the Langtang Valley, glaciers, and distant Himalayan ranges—a perfect spot for photography and taking in the grandeur of the mountains.

After spending time at the summit, you will carefully descend back to Kyangjin Gompa for an overnight stay. Here, you can relax, enjoy a warm meal, and recover from the day’s adventure, soaking in the serene atmosphere of this high-altitude village.

The trail gradually winds down through alpine meadows, forests, and traditional Tamang villages, offering a refreshing change of scenery as you move to lower altitudes. Along the way, you will pass streams, prayer flags, and terraced fields, giving you a closer look at the daily life and culture of the local people. The descent provides plenty of opportunities for photography and enjoying the surrounding mountains from a different perspective. After 6–7 hours of trekking, you will arrive at Lama Hotel, where you can relax, enjoy a hearty meal, and rest for the night in preparation for the next day’s journey.

After breakfast at Lama Hotel, you will continue your descent along the scenic Langtang Valley toward Syabrubesi. The trail passes through lush forests of pine and rhododendron, quaint villages, and terraced farmlands, giving you an immersive experience of local culture and rural life. As you walk along the riverbanks and cross suspension bridges, you will enjoy the fresh mountain air and panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. The descent is gradual but steady, allowing your body to adjust comfortably to lower altitudes. After 6–7 hours of trekking, you will reach Syabrubesi, where you can check into your lodge, relax, and celebrate the successful completion of your Langtang adventure. Overnight stay will be in Syabrubesi.

After breakfast in Syabrubesi, you will begin your scenic drive back to Kathmandu. The journey takes approximately 7–8 hours along winding mountain roads, passing through terraced fields, rivers, forests, and traditional villages. This is a great opportunity to reflect on your trekking experience while enjoying the beautiful landscapes of the Langtang region one last time. Along the way, you can stop for photos or refreshments at local villages. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you can rest, freshen up, and enjoy your evening in the capital city. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Kathmandu.

On your final day, after breakfast at your hotel in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport, which is approximately a 30-minute drive. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time to do last-minute shopping or explore nearby areas. Our representative will assist you with airport formalities to ensure a smooth departure. This marks the end of your unforgettable Langtang Trek, leaving you with memories of stunning mountains, vibrant culture, and the serene beauty of Nepal. Safe travels home!
