Free Day in Kathmandu and Trek Preparation

Spend a relaxed day in Kathmandu, exploring the city at your own pace or resting before the trek. This day is dedicated to trek and climbing preparation, including checking your gear, obtaining necessary permits, and attending a detailed briefing with your guides about the Everest 3 High Pass Trek. Day 03 :

Flight to Lukla (2,840 m) and Trek to Phakding (2,610 m)

Take an early morning scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, enjoying breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Upon arrival in Lukla, begin your trek towards Phakding (2,610 m), walking through picturesque Sherpa villages, pine forests, and the Dudh Koshi River valley. Overnight stay in Phakding.

Day 04 :

Trek from Phakding (2,610 m) to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)

Begin your trek through the Solu Khumbu region, crossing suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River and walking past charming villages and monasteries. Trek from Namche Bazaar (3,440 m) to Thame (3,820 m)

Gradually ascend to Thame (3,820 m), a historic village known for its monasteries and mountaineering heritage. Day 07 :

Trek from Thame (3,820 m) to Marulung (4,210 m)

Today, continue your trek through the scenic landscapes of the Khumbu region, passing remote Sherpa villages, prayer flags, and rugged trails. Gradually gain altitude as you reach Marulung (4,210 m), surrounded by breathtaking Himalayan views and serene mountain scenery. Overnight stay in Marulung.

Day 08 :

Trek from Marulung (4,210 m) to Lumde (4,368 m)

Continue ascending through the high Himalayan terrain, walking past glacial streams, rocky landscapes, and traditional Sherpa settlements. Reach Lumde (4,368 m), a quiet village offering panoramic views of towering peaks and the surrounding valleys. Take time to rest and acclimatize as you prepare for the higher passes ahead. Day 09 :

Trek from Lumde (4,368 m) to Gokyo (4,790 m) via Renjo La Pass (5,360 m)

Begin a challenging but rewarding day as you ascend to Renjo La Pass (5,360 m), one of the three high passes of the trek. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu from the pass. After crossing the pass, descend towards the serene Gokyo Valley, arriving at Gokyo (4,790 m), home to the beautiful Gokyo Lake. Overnight stay in Gokyo.

Day 10 :

Trek from Dragnag/Thangnag (4,750 m) to Dzongla (4,700 m) via Cho La Pass (5,420 m)

Today’s trek is challenging and exhilarating, as you cross the iconic Cho La Pass (5,420 m), one of the three high passes of the Everest region. Begin with a steep ascent, navigating rocky and icy trails, and be rewarded with spectacular panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam from the top. After crossing the pass, descend towards Dzongla (4,700 m), a small Himalayan settlement, and rest for the night. Overnight stay in Dzongla.

Day 12 :

Trek from Dzongla (4,700 m) to Gorak Shep (5,140 m)

Leave Dzongla and trek through the stunning high-altitude landscapes of the Khumbu region, passing rugged trails, moraine, and glacial streams. Gradually ascend to Gorak Shep (5,140 m), a small settlement that serves as the gateway to Everest Base Camp. Along the way, enjoy spectacular views of towering Himalayan peaks and prepare for the next day’s trek to the base of Everest. Overnight stay in Gorak Shep.

Day 13 :

Trek from Gorak Shep (5,140 m) to Everest Base Camp (5,364 m) and Descend to Lobuche (4,910 m)

Start early and trek from Gorak Shep to the legendary Everest Base Camp (5,364 m), walking amidst glaciers, rugged trails, and awe-inspiring Himalayan scenery. Spend time at the base camp, taking in magnificent views of Everest, Nuptse, and surrounding peaks. After soaking in the experience, descend to Lobuche (4,910 m), enjoying panoramic vistas along the way. Overnight stay in Lobuche.

Day 14 :

Trek from Lobuche (4,910 m) to Chhukung (4,730 m) via Kongma La Pass (5,535 m)

Today, embark on one of the most challenging and rewarding sections of the trek as you cross Kongma La Pass (5,535 m), the highest of the three passes. Ascend steep trails surrounded by glaciers and towering peaks, and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam from the pass. After the descent, reach Chhukung (4,730 m), a serene Himalayan village, and rest for the night. Overnight stay in Chhukung.

Day 15: Trek from Chhukung (4,730 m) to Island Peak Base Camp (5,200 m)

Leave Chhukung and trek through the stunning Khumbu landscapes, gradually ascending towards Island Peak Base Camp (5,200 m). Enjoy views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Nuptse, and observe the glacial terrain leading up to the peak. Day 16 :

Climb from Island Peak Base Camp (5,200 m) to Summit (6,189 m) and Return to Chhukung (4,730 m)

Start early in the morning for the summit push of Island Peak (6,189 m). Trek through snowfields, steep ridges, and rocky terrain, experiencing breathtaking 360° Himalayan views from the top. After reaching the summit and soaking in the majestic panoramas of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam, carefully descend back to Chhukung (4,730 m) to rest and recover from this challenging and rewarding climb. Day 17 :

Trek from Chhukung (4,730 m) to Tengboche (3,870 m)

Leave the high-altitude terrain of Chhukung and begin a gradual descent through the scenic Khumbu Valley. Pass through Sherpa villages, prayer flags, and monasteries, enjoying stunning views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Thamserku along the way. Trek from Tengboche (3,870 m) to Monjo (2,835 m)
