Langtang and Gosaikunda Trek

15 Days 14 Nights

The Langtang and Gosaikunda Trek is one of Nepal’s most beautiful and culturally rich trekking journeys, located just north of Kathmandu. This trek takes you through the green Langtang Valley, wide alpine meadows, and the sacred Gosaikunda Lake — an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. It offers a perfect blend of mountain scenery, local culture, and a rewarding moderate adventure.

The journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu along the Trishuli River, passing Trishuli Bazaar and Dhunche before reaching Syabrubesi. Syabrubesi is a traditional Tamang village beside the Bhote Koshi River and serves as the starting point of the trek. From here, the trail follows the Langtang River through forests and small settlements to Lama Hotel, where we spend the first night.

On the following day, we trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village, one of the largest Tamang communities in the region. Continuing higher, we reach Kyangjin Gompa, a beautiful mountain settlement surrounded by snow-capped peaks. An acclimatization day is spent here to help adjust to the altitude. During this time, trekkers can visit the local yak cheese factory, hike to Tserko Ri for stunning mountain views, and explore the historic Kyangjin Gompa monastery.
