Take an early morning scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. From Lukla, begin your trek through the Dudh Koshi River valley, passing charming villages, Buddhist prayer flags, and suspension bridges. The trail is gentle, allowing you to acclimatise gradually. Arrive in Phakding, a small Sherpa village, where you’ll stay overnight in a teahouse and enjoy the surrounding Himalayan views.

Today, the trek becomes more challenging as you follow the Dudh Koshi River through rhododendron forests and traditional Sherpa villages. Cross several suspension bridges and enjoy stunning Himalayan views along the way. After a steady climb, you’ll reach Namche Bazaar, the bustling Sherpa capital of the Khumbu region. This vibrant town is famous for its markets, cafes, and Tibetan-style architecture. Overnight stay in a teahouse, giving you time to rest and soak in the unique mountain atmosphere.

Spend the day in Namche Bazaar to acclimatise to the high altitude. You can explore the vibrant town, visit local markets, and enjoy the views of surrounding peaks such as Thamserku and Ama Dablam. Optional short hikes include a visit to the Everest View Hotel or Sagarmatha National Park Visitor Centre, offering panoramic Himalayan vistas and insight into local culture and wildlife. Leave Namche Bazaar after breakfast and trek through birch and rhododendron forests, crossing scenic trails with views of the Dudh Koshi River below. Today’s highlight is reaching Tengboche, a spiritual center of the Khumbu region, famous for its Tengboche Monastery, the largest monastery in the area. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Ama Dablam, Everest, Lhotse, and Thamserku as you arrive. Depart Tengboche and continue trekking through the Khumbu Valley, enjoying spectacular views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Thamserku. The trail gradually ascends through barren landscapes and yak pastures, giving you a true high-altitude trekking experience. Arrive in Dingboche, a picturesque Sherpa village known for its stunning mountain backdrop and traditional stone houses. Overnight stay in a teahouse, allowing your body to further acclimatize to the increasing altitude.

Spend a full day in Dingboche to help your body adjust to the high altitude. You can take short hikes to nearby ridges or viewpoints, such as Nangkar Tshang or Chhukung Ri, for spectacular panoramic views of Island Peak, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Leave Dingboche and continue trekking along the Khumbu Valley, passing through rocky terrain and moraine fields. The trail gradually climbs, offering spectacular views of Pumori, Nuptse, and the Khumbu Glacier. You will arrive in Lobuche, a small settlement surrounded by towering peaks. Take time to rest and acclimatise further in this high-altitude environment. Overnight stay in a teahouse with breathtaking Himalayan vistas.

Depart Lobuche and trek through the dramatic landscape of moraine fields and glacial trails. Arrive at Gorak Shep, a small settlement at 5,170 m, where you’ll rest before making the final trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364 m). At Base Camp, stand in awe at the foot of the world’s highest peak and take in views of surrounding giants like Lhotse, Nuptse, and Pumori. After soaking in the unforgettable scenery, return to Gorak Shep for an overnight stay in a teahouse.

Start early from Gorak Shep for a pre-dawn climb to Kala Patthar, the best vantage point to witness sunrise over Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Pumori. Begin your descent from Pangboche, retracing the scenic trails through the Khumbu Valley. Enjoy views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and the Dudh Koshi River as you pass through charming Sherpa villages and lush forests. After a long but rewarding trek, arrive back in Namche Bazaar, the bustling Sherpa hub. Take the evening to rest, explore local markets, and soak in the vibrant mountain atmosphere. Today, you begin your descent from Namche Bazaar to Lukla, following the same scenic trails through Sherpa villages, rhododendron forests, and suspension bridges. Enjoy your final trek through the Khumbu Valley, reflecting on the incredible journey and mountain vistas you’ve experienced. Arrive in Lukla by late afternoon, where you’ll spend your last night in a teahouse, celebrating the completion of your trek.

Take an early morning scenic flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu, enjoying breathtaking aerial views of the Himalayan peaks and Khumbu Valley. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for rest and relaxation. The rest of the day is free to explore Kathmandu, shop for souvenirs, or visit cultural sites. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward flight.
